Shake it out!

Welcome to join the choreographer and artist Tove Sahlin/Shake it collaborations and the Cullberg Ballet dancers for one hour of open shake session, open for everybody. The open shake sessions are simple, fun and sweaty and everybody shakes according to their own current form. The admission is free and pre-notification is not needed. Every session starts with a short introduction, and then it is up to you how you shake your body! 31 March-4 April at 10:00-11:00, and 7-11 April at 10:00-11:00. Dancers from Cullberg Ballet participate 1-2 April, and 7-11 April. Dansklotet, Dansens Hus, Wallingatan 19, Stockholm. 

Gabriel Smeets new artistic director of Cullberg Ballet

Dutch Gabriel Smeets is appointed new artistic director of Cullberg Ballet. The four-year stint will begin on May 1, 2014. Gabriel Smeets is currently the artistic director of the SNDO, the School for New Dance Development under the umbrella of The Amsterdam School of the Arts/Amsterdamse Hogeschool voor de Kunsten. Together with Managing Director Monica Fredriksson, Smeets will lead Cullberg Ballet, with a responsibility for the repertoire starting season 2015-2016.
