Mini interview: Alexandra Campbell
Today we present Alexandra Campbell who joined Cullberg Ballet in 2000. In The Strindberg Project she performs in Translations by Melanie Mederlind, and coming from Finland, she speaks Finnish on stage.

What inspires you in your own choreographic works?
Born in Helsinki, Finland. Alexandra trained at the Helsinki Dance Institute, The Finnish National Ballet and in various schools in Reims, Paris, Cologne, London and New York. In 1994 Alexandra joined The National Ballet of Finland dancing several roles in Sleeping Beauty by Nureyev, La Bayadere by Makarova and Giselle by Sylvie Guillem. Among modern works, Alexandra has danced in Blood Angel by Kenneth Kvarnström, Noces by Angelin Preljocaj, Duende by Nacho Duato. In 1999 she worked with Cré-Ange-Company at the Montpellier Festival in France. Alexandra joined Cullberg Ballet in 2000 and has danced roles in a wide variety of works by Mats Ek, Johan Inger, Ohad Naharin, Jiří Kylián and Didy Veldman. Between 2006 and 2008 she was on leave from Cullberg Ballet, working as a freelance dancer and choreographer in Sweden and abroad.
