Technical Requirements

Drawings, floor plan and section to scale (1:125, 1:100, 1:50) or in dwg format showing:
- The measurements of the venue.
- The measurements of the stage area.
- The location, length and height of the fly bars.
- The location of any side bars.
- Any facility to hang lighting and/or sound equipment in the auditorium.
- Proscenium arch (width and height) max and min.
- The location of the curtain and any fire and/or saftey curtain.
- Balconies around the stage (their location and free height underneath them).
- Any stage rake.
- Fire points, emergency exit routes or other areas in the stage which must not be blocked or cannot be used to store bulky equipment.
- Any side and/or backstage areas.
- Any apron/orchestra pit and whether this can be used as a dance floor.
- The design of the auditorium (distance to the audience and sightlines to the side and upwards).
- Location of lighting desk, mixer and technicians during the performance.

Inventory of existing stage equipment:
- Cloths (measurements and colour).
- Curtain (movement plan).
- Maximum load for the fly bars, electric or manual, diameter.
- Dance carpets (measurements, colours, manufacturer) e.g. for apron/orchestra pit.
- Black screens (measurements and number).
 
Inventory of existing lighting equiptment:
- Fixed (marked on drawing) and moveable lighting which can be used by the Cullberg Ballet.
- Lighting booms (measurements and number).
- Power outlets (number, power and location).
- Information on whether the auditorium lighting can be controlled via the Cullberg Ballet´s lighting desk.
 
Inventory of existing sound equipment:
- Fixed (marked on drawing) and moveable sound equipment.
- Power outlets separate from lighting (number, power and location).

We also need:
- The smallest measurements of the route between the get-in and stage.
- Information on whether we can use existing washing machines and dryers.
- Information on whether our truck and its trailer can remain outside the theatre or the adress of a recommended parking area.
- Address of the theatre´s website, where available.
 
As well as the above, it would help if you could also provide:

Photos (digital or printed) of:
- Stage opening.
- Curtain.
- Dressing rooms.
- Delivery address, phone number of a contact who can help the driver get to the area and to the loading bay.
- Information on whether it is possible to obtain snacks and/or food at the theatre.
- Access to workshops in the event of an emergency.


Below follows an example of a schedule:

Day 1 (set-up day)

09.00- Unloading and set-up
13.00- Break
14.30- Set-up
16.30- Light focusing
18.30- Soundcheck (break for the others)
20.00- Light focusing
22.30  END

Day 2 (performance day)

09.00- Cleaning and preparations
10.00- Class (for the dancers) on stage
11.30- Spacing rehearsals for dancers and technicians
14.00- Break
15.00- Adjustments and preparations
18.00- Break
18.30- Warm up (for the dancers) on stage
19.30- Performance
22.00- End of performance, dissmantling and load out (aprox. 3 hrs)

If there is more then one day of perfomance the following day/days will be planed as day 2, the technicians on stage, light and sound will need half an hour and the costume technician aprox. 1 hour after the performance to finish their work.
